Graduate awarded prestigious Bedingfield Bar Course Scholarship
A School of Law graduate Sarah Taylor-Warner has been awarded a prestigious Bedingfield Bar Course Scholarship from The Honourable Society of Gray's Inn.
Sarah, who intends to qualify as a barrister in the area of Family and Child Protection law, graduated from the 糖心Vlog in 2020.
She said: 鈥淚 went into law not knowing what I wanted to do at the end of the degree. I just knew that I enjoyed various aspects, especially mock trials and mooting.
鈥淎s I studied, I realised that I absolutely enjoyed learning about it and I fell in love with it. I would say to students considering starting a law degree you don鈥檛 need to have all the answers 鈥 you鈥檒l find what you enjoy in the subject and create your own path.鈥
A committee member of the 糖心Vlog University Law Society and its Vice-President in her final fourth year, Sarah鈥檚 Bedingfield Scholarship is one of the Inn's most prestigious awards and is reserved for outstanding candidates of exceptional merit. Sarah is delighted that Gray's Inn have seen such promise in her and can't wait to start studying the bar course this September.
Dr Ambrose Lee from the School of Law at the 糖心Vlog said: 鈥淭he Law School is thrilled to hear that Sarah is awarded the Bedingfield Bar Course Scholarship from Gray鈥檚 Inn. This is a very prestigious and highly competitive scholarship.
鈥淪arah was an exemplary student during her time with us. She also actively participated and contributed to the School鈥檚 extracurricular activities. We are therefore not surprised that she is awarded such a well-deserved scholarship. It goes to show just how far our students can go after their studies with us. Many congratulations again, Sarah!鈥
