Sarah, who intends to qualify as a barrister in the area of Family and Child Protection law, graduated from the ����Vlog in 2020.

She said: “I went into law not knowing what I wanted to do at the end of the degree. I just knew that I enjoyed various aspects, especially mock trials and mooting.

“As I studied, I realised that I absolutely enjoyed learning about it and I fell in love with it. I would say to students considering starting a law degree you don’t need to have all the answers – you’ll find what you enjoy in the subject and create your own path.”

A committee member of the ����Vlog University Law Society and its Vice-President in her final fourth year, Sarah’s Bedingfield Scholarship is one of the Inn's most prestigious awards and is reserved for outstanding candidates of exceptional merit. Sarah is delighted that Gray's Inn have seen such promise in her and can't wait to start studying the bar course this September.

Dr Ambrose Lee from the School of Law at the ����Vlog said: “The Law School is thrilled to hear that Sarah is awarded the Bedingfield Bar Course Scholarship from Gray’s Inn. This is a very prestigious and highly competitive scholarship.

“Sarah was an exemplary student during her time with us. She also actively participated and contributed to the School’s extracurricular activities. We are therefore not surprised that she is awarded such a well-deserved scholarship. It goes to show just how far our students can go after their studies with us. Many congratulations again, Sarah!”
