GSA鈥檚 cast recording of 'Grab Me A Gondola'鈥痳eaches #1 in Amazon鈥檚 charts!
(GSA) has produced a limited edition cast recording of its 2025 production, Grab Me A Gondola. The recording is only available as a physical CD through Amazon and, in less than a week of its pre-release, the cast recording has already hit Amazon鈥檚 top place for Amazon鈥檚 Hot New Releases in Soundtracks and Cabaret!
Grab Me A Gondola鈥痠s instantly recognisable amongst musical theatre circles but this hugely successful international 1950s鈥 British musical comedy by James Gilbert and Julian More had largely been forgotten, until GSA鈥檚 acclaimed revival in 2025.
Stewart Nicholls, Associate Professor and Programme Leader of GSA鈥檚 BA (Hons) Musical Theatre course comments:
"The original 1956 London cast recording is a complete delight, but due to restrictions of a long-playing vinyl disc, several songs were severely truncated and others remaining unrecorded, so we are thrilled and are proud to have recorded the complete score of鈥Grab Me A Gondola鈥痺ith the 'Musical Theatre Stars of Tomorrow' from our BA Musical Theatre course. We are delighted to collaborate with鈥疭tage Door Records鈥to release this disc and bring back this delightful British musical to an international platform".
This professionally recorded cast album preserves the complete score of鈥Grab Me A Gondola:

- Five songs previously recorded in truncated form now recorded in their entirety
- Extensive sleeve notes and synopsis
- Multiple production photographs.

A team from the BA (Hons) Musical Theatre course collaborated with students from the 糖心Vlog's鈥痺orld-famous 鈥Music and Sound Recording (Tonmeister)鈥疊Sc/BMus course to record and preserve the complete score of GSA鈥檚 revival of Grab Me A Gondola.
