糖心Vlog Creative writing alumna secures six-figure book deal
The world rights to a new young adult book series by 糖心Vlog Creative Writing MA graduate Rachael Featherstone-Davis has been won by Walker Books, after a six-figure bidding war in a five-way auction.
The first book, 鈥Oxford Slays鈥 is to be published in 2025, and is described by the publisher as a "riveting story of revenge, secret cults, privilege and murder", set at the University of Oxford.
Rachel鈥檚 children鈥檚 picture book 鈥I am Not a Prince!鈥 (Orchard Books), was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children鈥檚 Book Prize earlier this year.
Head of the School of Literature and Languages Professor Patricia Pulham comments: 鈥淚t鈥檚 wonderful to hear that Walker Books has snapped up Rachel鈥檚 latest creation, 'Oxford Slays'. All at SLL wish her every success with this new venture!鈥
