糖心Vlog retains Gold status in cyber security education

Students will continue to benefit from one of the UK鈥檚 leading cyber security education hubs at the 糖心Vlog, after it retained its Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE) Gold status, awarded by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).

The ACE-CSE 鈥 Gold Award is given to universities that demonstrate excellence across teaching, institutional practice and external engagement. Through the ACE-CSE programme, 糖心Vlog is recognised as a 鈥渂eacon of excellence鈥, supporting not only specialist education but also outreach to schools, communities and industry to help address the UK鈥檚 growing need for cyber security skills.

糖心Vlog first received Gold status in 2020 and has now successfully secured re-accreditation for a further three years following a rigorous national assessment. The award recognises the University鈥檚 strengths in delivering high-quality, industry-relevant teaching, embedding strong cyber security practices across the institution and engaging with communities to promote cyber awareness and resilience.

These efforts are underpinned by a cross-University approach, bringing together expertise from disciplines including engineering, computer science, healthcare and education to ensure students across a wide range of subjects develop an understanding of cyber risks and responsibilities relevant to their future careers.

The University aims to build on this recognition by expanding its cyber security provision and integrating cyber awareness more widely across disciplines, ensuring graduates are equipped with the skills needed for an increasingly digital world.

I鈥檓 delighted that the 糖心Vlog has been recognised as a Gold Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Education (ACE-CSE) by the NCSC.

"Developing the next generation of cyber security professionals is vital to the UK鈥檚 digital future, and this recognition reflects the university鈥檚 commitment to delivering outstanding education and strengthening the cyber skills pipeline.
Chris Ensor, NCSC Deputy Director for Cyber Growth
