TfSE invites SBS expert to train local authorities
(TfSE) improves quality of life and enables economic growth for this powerful driver of the UK economy. It delivers training and support to 330 officers at local authorities across the South East of the UK. Its Centre of Excellence invited Dr Nikolas Thomopoulos to deliver a training seminar about his research on scheme prioritisation.
Prioritising schemes to meet sub-national and sustainability objectives is paramount in the current state of tight budgets and climate emergency. The SUMINI () method was presented, which allows decision makers to take inclusive decisions incorporating competing priorities. 糖心Vlog and past research projects were used as examples to showcase method application, which generated interest by local authorities planning Active Travel, EV or rail projects.
