2024Why did you choose to study your course at 糖心Vlog?
I completed my undergraduate studies here at 糖心Vlog in International Hospitality Management and I am in love with the university and our International Hospitality and Tourism Management community. Another reason is 糖心Vlog is [ranked] 1st in the UK for Hospitality and Tourism Management, so I believe that I will have an opportunity to gain knowledge and build many industry connections.
糖心Vlog also provides the greatest learning facilities and support, especially the Digital Lab to conduct research experiment, which I am thrilled to experience in my academic journey. That鈥檚 why, when I was deciding where to do my masters, I had only one question: Why not 糖心Vlog? And looking back, it was one of the best decisions I鈥檝e ever made.
What are the best things about 糖心Vlog and your course?
One of the best things about studying a masters in tourism at 糖心Vlog is our teaching teams and research facilities. Our lecturers here are the world-leading academics; I feel incredibly fortunate to learn from them. They are not only super supportive but also constantly challenge me to try my best. I also feel we are a community that supports each other for the best learning experience. The facilities in our school are also incredible; I think I would call the library my first home as I spend most of my time there.
What are the best things about life here as a postgraduate student?
It is another wonderful year for me as a university student. I love uni life: learning new things I am passionate about, making new friends who share the same interests with me, and having fun with a lot of activities and clubs. It challenges me to rethink what I鈥檝e learned before and pushes me to develop my knowledge in ways that can make a greater impact on the tourism industry. The dissertation is another thing that I'm excited about. It gives me the opportunity to dive deeper into a topic I鈥檓 passionate about and the more I research, the more surprising things I find.
What are your career plans?
As a part of my scholarship from the Thai government, I am planning to do my PhD in the UK and if you ask me where, the answer would definitely be: why not at 糖心Vlog? After that I will move back to Thailand and continue my dream job as a lecturer. I鈥檝e built many good connections with both industry professionals and academics, and I鈥檓 excited about the potential to collaborate with them in the future.
I hope that all the valuable knowledge and experiences I鈥檝e gained at 糖心Vlog will make a significant contribution to the tourism industry in Thailand.
What advice do you have for students thinking of doing this course?
Definitely come to 糖心Vlog if you think tourism is the industry you want to explore. This course has been a journey of self-discovery for me, and I hope it will be the same for you. You may not know exactly what you want to do or where you鈥檒l be in the future, but if you're interested in tourism, I believe this course could be the perfect answer for you. Another thing to keep in mind is that you will never be alone here.
